What is My classes?

My classes is your central hub for accessing and managing the groups you’re linked to. This includes custom groups made in Satchel One, as well as teaching groups, registration groups, and house groups from the school’s MIS.

You can also mark key groups as favourites for quick access, helping streamline your daily workflow.

View My classes

Click My classes from the navigation panel to the groups you are currently a member of. If you have a large volume of classes, you can easily narrow them down with the year group filter or by searching for a specific class.

Locked groups 🔒 are managed through the school's MIS and cannot be edited in Satchel One. Custom groups are fully managed within the Learning platform.

Favourite groups

Click the ★ star icon to favourite groups you interact with often. They’ll always appear at the top of your list for quick access.

💡 You can favourite any group and add it to My classes, including those you don’t teach. Simply search for it using the magnifying glass at the top right of your screen, and star it!

Manage classes

🔒 The actions within this section require permissions for Custom groups and Group setup.

Open the options menu ( ⫶ ) to access additional options, such as Edit and Delete. This may only be possible for custom groups, depending on your permissions and on whether you are importing groups via an external provider.

Click View to see the student list and access other features like Attendance, Behaviour, and Seating.

Student list

The student list shows all group members, with options depending on which apps are enabled. You can customise the list by adding or removing columns.

It’s also possible to filter by gender, inclusion group, or search by name.

Homework

To access the Gradebook for this class, click on the Homework tab.
