What is the Contact directory?
The Contact directory allows you to view and manage student contacts other than parents. Here you can update their personal details, manage their student relationships, and send password links.
View Contact directory
π The actions within this section are controlled by the Parent directory
permission.
To access the directory, go to Tools > Parents & contacts > Contact directory.
By default the directory is set to show the parents with students currently on-roll. Unlike Parents, contacts do not have Parental responsibility for a student at the school. These include neighbours, doctors or other family members.
For other Parents and carers, navigate to the Parent directory instead.
Filter contacts
Use the search bar to locate contacts by name. You can choose to include contacts who are:
Current - Have students currently on-roll
Former - Have students who have left the school
For more filtering options, click More Filters, where you can refine results by:
Site access: Not invited, Have site access, Disabled
Year groups
Registration groups
Priority
Click View on any contact to access their full profile.
Actions
You can select one or multiple contacts on the directory and apply changes in bulk:
Select all contacts on the current page
Expand the selection to all contacts matching your filters
Clear the section
The available actions include:
Send password link - Invite new contacts or help existing users recover passwords. It can be used alongside the Site access and Priority filters to target specific groups.
Send email - Contact users via email using our Messaging app.
Send SMS - Contact users via SMS, using a 3rd party integration.
Enable / Disable access - Block or re-enable site access en-masse.
