You can leave feedback for students on their homework in the form of a submission status, grade or comment. This can be done for an individual student or multiple students at once.
Apply Submission Status / Grade
To begin, click on the task you want to mark, then click the Assess tab.
Select the student whose work you'd like to mark using the tickbox next to their name. You can select multiple students at once.
After selecting the relevant students, use the 'Select status' or 'Select grade' dropdowns to apply the same status / grade for this task to all of the selected students.
💡Top tip: If you apply a grade first, the submission status will be automatically recorded. It will record as either 'Submitted' or 'Submitted Late', depending on whether the due date has already passed.
You may also decide to leave feedback in the the form of a comment. Having selected a student (or students), simply type into the comment box at the bottom of the page.
Comments can be up to 1000 characters. You can also attach a file to your comment using the 'Attach file' button - this feature may be useful for verbal feedback, for example.
When you leave a comment, your comment is sent individually to the selected student(s) and is only visible to those student(s) and their parents.
