Desktop notifications

When a student submits work on Satchel One or leaves you a comment, a notification will appear on the bell icon on the top right corner. Click on the bell to view the 3 most recent notifications.

You can open each notification to be taken to the relevant page, or View all notifications for better filtering options and the ability to clear any you no longer need.

Selecting Clear all will delete all notifications. Please note that this action cannot be undone.

Email notifications

You can also opt for notifications via email. To manage your email notification preferences while using the website, go to Account Settings.

From here, simply scroll down until you see Manage notifications and then you can simply tick or un-tick the options as you like:

Push notifications (mobile app)

You can also manage your email notifications, as well as push notifications received to your mobile device via the app. To subscribe to email and push notifications via the Android app or iOS app:

  • Go to Settings and click on Notifications

  • Toggle Push notifications to control messages received on your mobile device

  • Toggle Email notifications to control notifications received via email

Student and parent notifications

Students and parents have a variety of options to choose from when it comes to notifications. Their options include: notifications for new homework tasks published, tasks marked as not submitted, comments from teachers, grades, positive and negative behaviour points and badges, notices (school events and announcements) as well as reminders for homework that is due the day after and homework that is to be handed in on the day:

Similarly, they can choose to receive all of these notifications via email or push notifications directly from their phone:
