As a parent or guardian, you can log into Satchel One and have oversight of your child's school life! It's a great way to stay up to date and allows you to keep track via notifications of your choosing, wherever you are.
To create your Satchel One account, you will need a Parent Code. This can be provided by your child's school, or alternatively you can find it inside your child's Satchel One account.
Obtaining a Parent Code
Obtaining a Parent Code allows you to create a new parent / guardian account or recreate an existing account you have lost access to.
Please follow the guidance below to obtain an up-to-date Parent Code (please note that Parent Codes expire 3 months after being generated).
Via the mobile app
You can obtain your Parent Code from inside your child's account on the mobile app. Please ask your child to log in, then go to Settings > Parent Code to find the code!
Via a web browser
Please ask your child to log in to their account on a web browser, then go to Account Settings. Scroll down to My Parent Code, then click 'Show code':
Request from school
You can request the Parent Code from the school directly.
💡 If you already have an account, you no longer need a Parent Code. You can simply reset your password if you have forgotten it!
Signing up as a parent / guardian
To create your Satchel One account, you will need a unique Parent Code. This may have been provided by the school, or you may have obtained it from your child's Satchel One account.
The same code can be used to create up to 5 parent / guardian accounts, so feel free to share this code with those who need access to your child's Satchel One account.
Once you have your Parent Code, please follow these instructions to create your parent / guardian account:
On the mobile app
Step 1: Search for and select your child's school (you can search by name or postcode).
| Step 2: Tap 'Log in with a PIN or Parent Code'.

Step 3: Enter the Parent Code you received from the school or your child.
| Step 4: Confirm that you are linking your account to the correct child / accept the T&Cs.

Step 5: Fill out your personal details and choose a new password (please use an email address you have access to).
| Step 6: Complete the email verification process and log in with your new details
Check your email and follow the link, which will take you to a login page.

Step 7: Use your newly created login details here to sign into Satchel One and verify your account.
| Step 8: Now you're logged in, you can start to explore your Satchel One account!

On the web browser
Step 1:
Visit our login page and click the 'Parent' heading
Choose 'I don't have an account yet'
Search for your child's school by name or postcode
Enter your email address (please use an email address you have access to)
Enter your Parent Code
Tick 'I'm not a robot' and complete any security tasks
Click 'Sign up'
Step 2:
Tick to confirm the following details:

Please fill out your personal details.
Step 4:
You will receive an automated email from noreply@teamsatchel.com asking you to verify your account.
For security reasons, you'll have limited access to your account until you complete the email verification process.
⚠️ Please note: if an account is not verified with 28 days of being created, it will automatically be deleted.
Please open the email you've received and follow the link; sign in on this specific login page with your newly created login details to gain full access to your account.
If you can't see the automated email, please check your junk / spam folder.

Now that you're logged in, you will no longer need your Parent Code; moving forward you can access your account using your email and password combination.
Email verification
After following the link in your verification email, you’ll be taken to a unique login page. You must log in on this specific page in order to verify your account; logging in elsewhere or simply following the link will not verify your account.
Please ensure you are using an email and password to log in when verifying; logging in via Google or Office 365 Single Sign-On will not verify your account.

Adding another child to your account
Open the Satchel One app and from the menu, go to Settings > Student management.
You will see the student(s) you are currently linked to, with a + button at the top right of the screen.
Tap the + symbol and you'll be prompted to type in a Parent Code that you've received for another child; once linked they'll be visible on your Satchel One account too!
At any time on the app, click the avatar of your child and you will be able to switch between your children quickly and easily.
Step 1: Tap on your child's image to see all children linked to your account.

Logging in to your account
Once you have created your account using your Parent Code, you can access your account on any device using your email address and password.
Go to our login page or open our mobile app
Enter your child’s school (search by postcode)
Type your email address and password
Log in
Forgot password?
To reset your password, click on 'Forgot password?' on the login page of the website or on the mobile app.
Type in your email and a password reset email will be sent to you; please follow the instructions in the email to create a new password and regain access to your account.
⚠️ You will be unable to reset your password if your account is unverified; please contact Satchel One or your school directly, and request that your account is deleted so that you can sign up again.
💡Top tips:
If you do not see the password reset email in your inbox, you may want to check your junk or spam folder.
If your email is not recognised, please contact the school directly; for security reasons, we will not be able to assist any further.
Assisting with student logins
Has your child forgotten their login details? As a parent, you can assist!
Open the Satchel One app and from the menu, go to Settings > Student management. You will be able to see a student PIN which they can use to reset their details. The PIN is also visible on the website, right on your dashboard.
If your child does not have a PIN, please contact the school directly.
