What are Badges?

Badges are a flexible and engaging way to reward students for achievements, milestones, or positive behaviours. In Satchel One, badges are fully customisable, allowing schools to tailor them to suit their own pastoral or behaviour framework.

View badges

🔒 The actions within this section are controlled by the Badge setup View permission.

To view the school’s badges, go to Tools > Apps > Behaviour > Badges.

You’ll see a list of all existing badges, including their active state. You can search for specific codes by name using the search bar above the list.

Actions

  • Edit - Update badge details

  • Active toggle - Deactivate a badge to hide it when rewarding students

  • Delete - Permanently remove badges you no longer need

Create badges

🔒 The actions within this section are controlled by the Badge setup permission.

To create a new badge:

  1. Go to Tools > Apps > Behaviour > Badges and click Create.

  2. Enter

    • Name - The value that staff, students and parents/carers will see.

    • Icon - Select an image that best represents this badge.

    • Description - An explanation of when this badge should be awarded.

  3. Click Save to create the badge.
