What are Thresholds

Thresholds are soft limits you can configure to guide staff in how many badges, positive, or negative behaviour points they should assign to students within a single week.

They’re designed to promote consistency across staff, prevent over-rewarding or excessive sanctioning, and help maintain fair behaviour tracking.

Set up Thresholds

🔒 The actions within this section are controlled by the Behaviour threshold setup permission

Go to Tools > Apps > Behaviour > Thresholds to add the recommended weekly maximum limit for:

  • Positive points: 0 to 99

  • Negative points: 0 to -99

  • Badges: 0 to 99

Click Save to apply your changes.

Impact on Staff

If a staff member attempts to exceed the set threshold, a warning will appear with information about the limits.

Staff may dismiss the message and continue awarding as normal if they feel it's justified.

FAQ

No, thresholds are advisory only. Warnings can be dismissed.

Do thresholds reset weekly?

Yes. Thresholds apply on a weekly rolling basis, starting each Monday.

Can thresholds be different by year group or teacher?

No, thresholds are currently school-wide and apply uniformly to all staff and students.

Is there a report to track if thresholds are being respected?

While there’s no dedicated threshold report, weekly behaviour data can be reviewed under Reports > Behaviour.
