Assessment allows you to view each student's most recent assessment results in Satchel One, imported directly from your school's MIS. View current working levels, target grades, reading ages and more.

Please note - This article describes how to set up the import of assessment data from your MIS. For information on where you can find assessment data in Satchel One, see Viewing Assessment Data.

How do I export Assessment IDs from SIMS?

It is possible to create a report in SIMS to view your aspect IDs.

In SIMS, please navigate to Reports > Design new report where you can choose the relevant area, likely to be called Aspects or Assessment and add the two fields we ask for.

The two fields are Aspect name and Aspect ID as shown at the screenshots below.

Organising Wonde templates (Wonde only)

Please find attached the Wonde guide for setting up Assessment data in SIMS.

We will need to know which Assessment Templates your aspects belong to in SIMS, as we must know the names of these specifically in order to import correctly.

πŸ’‘ If there are a large number of templates that we would need to import from, we would recommend instead creating a new single template in SIMS (called 'Satchel Assessment Template', for example) that includes all assessment aspects that you want to access in here to keep things tidy!

Please then share the name of the template(s) required with us via the chat bubble in Satchel One; we'll then be able to make the relevant selections within our system.

Importing Assessment data - Via legacy site

Once you have created your report in SIMS, return to Satchel One and visit Admin > Settings > Assessment via our legacy site.

Here you will see any previously imported Assessment aspects with the options to edit or delete them. Should you wish to delete multiple aspects at once, you can use the tick boxes to the left of each aspect and then click the blue 'Actions' button at the top of the page; this will give you the option to 'Delete'.

If you'd like to import new aspects, click the 'Update aspects' button at the top right of the page. This will provide instructions on how to proceed.

Click the 'download our CSV template' hyperlink and input your aspect information you've exported in your SIMS report.

When you've done this, save your CSV and click the green 'Upload CSV' button. Upload your file to complete this process; all aspects will now become available to staff using Satchel One.

πŸ“ If there are multiple assessment results for the same aspect in your MIS, we will import the result with the most recent edit or created date to ensure the most recent results show for the students.
